FURSUITS

Ever since I joined the fandom on December 10th 2020, I have been amazed and in love with the art of fursuiting and fursuit making, though im not anywhere near the level of some makers, im improving every day, and maybe some day i can finally put every other maker out of business and become a global fursuit corporation. just maybe.

And yes, i do in fact have the exact date i became a furry.

Familiar The Killer Corvid.

My dearest familiar

Familiar has managed to butt his way into my life from just an idea that i never thought i would do anything with. What started as just a cool name i came up with, turned into a character idea, then a planned premade, then into a character for a never completed band, and now one of my favorite and most recognizable characters.

The suit was built off of a dinomask and modified into something way beyond what it once was. built in late September of 24′, I had originally planned to sell it as a premade, but in the process of making it, i got very attached to the character, and made it far more spooky than i had planned for.

Familiar is a weird mix of a partial and a fullsuit. instead of a traditional body suit, familiar has a spandex bodysuit i thrifted and modded with padding, and dedicated clothes to go with it in order to get the effect of layered clothes without the heat. this also means i can stay in suit way longer than most suiters can. almost all of the accessories are thrifted.

Yes, that is me with eddie munster.

Familiar is my 5th suit, and by far the most detailed. I mentioned that familiar started as a pre-made i was going to sell. well not only was he going to be a pre made, he was also going to be a cartoon style suit, with a fully furred face and fleace beak. I completely abandoned this when i got my first batch of foam clay, and i wanted to experiment with it, so i ripped all the uphulstry foam off and stripped the glue away until i got the base back, and then i re did everything with an eva foam beak, using the foam clay, i covered the seams and the skin to give it a clean look. I gave his head a rotten yellow to give a rotting look to his skin, and then i covered him in moss.

Jawbone Lavode

My Main Fursona!

Jawbone is the 3rd revision of my older fursona Blaze, most of the character is the same, its mainly the looks that have changed quite a lot, he’s meant to be a Zeniphar, and original species of mine that you can find more info about on the Lore section.

Jawbone is built on a dinomask, as are most of my early suits, and was actually my first suit made with a real dinomask, Jawbone is the 4th suit i made. As with most suits i made, Jawbone started as just a head, and slowly more parts were added, currently Jawbone is just a mini partial, with a head, paws. and tail.

I finally got around to giving jawbone his well overdue refurb. He has been needing this for a while as I’ve been wanting to change his character for a while now. I wanted to give him a more unique design that stood out while still having a simplistic design that isn’t too complicated, and I wanted a beak.

I also gave him some much larger tail feathers that are much more true to his design, and i even finished his ref sheet after 5 years.

Original paint job

Heres the original furred!
I dont know why i was in a suit lol, also damn my room was messy.
It included glow markings too!

Some early WIP photos.

Jawbone has had a few refurbs, this being the first. I changed out the paint and markings on the face for more prevalent and distinct markings that are more reminiscent of his older counterpart, Blaze.

You can also see the eye scar a bit better in this photo here

This is a scar i actually have and i wanted to add it since not only do i have it but my grandfather as well, and supposedly my great grandfather.

The Rooster

My 3rd suit. not mush to say about this one, i made it as a birthday gift for one of my ex’s and i havnt seen it since.

Though this was kind of a fast budget build, it was great practice for painting and patterning, and i was just a fun build overall, and i think it inspired my love for avian fursuits later on.

These are the only WIP Photos i have of this suit. i have some other less flattering photos but i dont care to share them with the world.

The comb was fun to make on this, i just happend to find the perfect fabric while walking through walmart one day and i think it added a lot to the look of this. also, the suit was inspired by a real chicken, my girl chubby.

Janek Novak

Janek is the second suit i ever made, and it shows, he sincerly needs a good refurb, especially with his species getting a redesign soon. Janek was a character i made solely to have a dino mask. The base isnt actually a real dinomask, but a 3d printed copy. I bought the stl file on etsy and i immedietly printed it. thus Janek was born.

though i havnt done anything with his character, or suit, he was the first suit i brought to a convention. so he holds a very special place in my heart, not to mention I killed my 3d printer to make him.

I dont have any WIP photos unfortunatly, but i do have a photo of the giant chunk of supports used to print the whole head in one go. it was so large i ran out of filiment halfway through.
Janek is at the moment only a head and a tail, since i was lazy and didnt want to make another set of paws, i just borrowed Blazes paws whenever i went suiting.

Blaze Loner

My first Son

This is the first suit i ever made. its bad, and i dont ever plan on changing it. its gone through one major refurb, right after i finished it in time for halloween i completely re-did it. It definatly an improvement from the original but its still not great. but im happy that i still made it anyway, it took a lot of commitment and at the time it was my biggest project yet.

I havnt worn it to many events, the only times being on halloween. and its mostly just sat on my wall collecting dust, but maybe at some point ill give him a little tlc.

As you can imagine, this was my first Fursona, an unbelivably edgy wolf with lore so long it rivaled the bible, exept unlike the bible, it was never written. so all that lore i came up with is completely gone. though its not the biggest loss, a 13y olds startrek fanficion about a space werewolf isnt really a very riveting story.

Here he sits eagerly waiting to be free.
